A warm welcome!
Hello! I am Marcela, a Yoga Teacher based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Although I have exercised all my life, nothing has offered me what yoga has: The strength, focus, serenity and clarity that this beautiful millennial practice brings to my body and mind. I am an eternal student and I consider this to be a lifetime practice.
It is an honour to be able to share this practice with you as we breathe, flow and move together. I teach Vinyasa Flow, Gentle Flow, Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Mum & Baby Yoga, and Corporate Yoga classes.
For those of you wishing to attend Pregnancy and Postnatal classes, you may find useful to know that I am a trained and practising Doula, an Active Birth Teacher and registered with the Federation of Antenatal Educators. In 2022 I completed the YogaBirth 300hr year long Teacher Training. You can find more info about my Doula work on my website Mama Gives Light.
After working in the corporate world for many years, I understand how working in an office environment and sitting at a desk all day can cause not only bad posture, physical aches and pains, but also mental stress and anxiety. My Corporate Yoga classes are carefully designed to offer movement, breathing and meditation to help alleviate these discomforts. If you are interested you can find more information here.
Whether you are completely new to yoga or a more seasoned practitioner, you are welcome in my classes.
