Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be flexible?
No. My classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced students.
What should I bring?
Bring a yoga mat (or borrow one), comfortable clothing and water.
Where are classes held?
Classes take place at Christ Church in Holy Corner (Bruntsfield area), Mornignside Parish Church and Greenbank Parish Church. Please look at our timetable for more details on each class.
Can I join halfway through the term?
Absolutely! You can join any time you want
I'm a complete beginner. Can I come?
Of course! Our classes are open to all levels and I will always offer you variations and ways in which you can adapt the poses to what your boyd needs.
Do I need to be flexible?
Absolutely not! There is much more to Yoga than being flexible and you will be free to move and progress at your own pace.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch freely
Do I need to bring my own mat?
Yes. Please bring a Yoga mat and any other props you may like to use (blocks, belts)
When can I start attending the Pregnancy Yoga classes?
You can start attending from 12 weeks of pregnancy. I always recommend that you check with your Midwife or Obstetrician before starting any form of exercise during pregnancy.
When can I start attending the Postnatal Yoga classes?
I recommend that you wait at least 6 weeks after birth (12 weeks if you had a cesarean birth) and after you have had your postnatal check.
WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR YOGA CLASS

A Yoga mat and any other props you may like to use (blocks, belts)

A jumper or small blanket for relaxation

A bottle of water

For Pregnancy classes please bring a small cushion or pillow

For Yoga with Babies please bring a blanket for baby. There is a toilet with a changing table that you are welcome to use at any time for your baby
